Photographing Diamond Jewelry an Adventure in Beauty and Contrast |

I love all things natural and beautiful, and diamond jewelry can be so exquisite. When I found this photo online today, I just had to broadcast it because it is such a contrast in two beautiful objects, one is the stunning beauty of the hardest gemstone on the planet and the other, the softest, most delicate beauty of a rose. It made me think that I should start taking photos like this of my diamond jewelry. I've been eyeing my digital camera lately and thinking that it's time to start taking photos of everyday items, something I used to do with my film camera but haven't with my digital. It would also be a good excuse to buy some new diamond jewelry, too, especially if I could create something this lovely and sell it, too.
My husband is really good about indulging my love of diamond jewelry and might even enjoy helping me set up vignettes for photographing my diamond jewelry, too. In fact, the whole family might even join in and that would be a really fun way to spend an evening. I have all the photographic flood lights and a digital camera capable of macro photography, so I think at dinner tonight, I'll bring it up and see if we can't use my collection of diamond jewelry for something more than personal adornment.
