A couple of months ago my father bought my mother some diamond jewelry that he found selling at a discount at an ecommerce site online. He bought her some diamond and ruby jewelry earrings that matched a necklace he had given her the year before. There was no special occasion to warrant my father giving my mother this diamond jewelry. It wasn’t her birthday and nor had he done anything wrong, he just wanted to buy them for her. I think that he gave my mother the diamond jewelry just to let her know that he appreciates her and the things she does for him because he knows that he is not an easy man to live with.
